This is the agreement between you and Lookonic. It's written in plain language because you're meant to actually read it — but it is a binding contract. By signing in or using the app you agree to it, together with our Privacy Policy.
Lookonic styles outfits from clothes you photograph and renders them on photos of you. The results are AI-generated: useful, not perfect.
Upload only photos of yourself and your own clothes. No one else's face or body, no minors, no nudity. Ever.
Your photos stay yours. We use them only to run the service, we don't train AI on them, and we don't sell them.
Your wardrobe and looks live on your phone — our server only holds a finished render for up to 24 hours while the app collects it. Lose the phone or delete the app and they're gone; we can't restore them.
Your first look is free. After that, one credit is spent per delivered look — never for adding clothes, never for a render that fails.
Credits are bought through the App Store or Google Play, don't expire, and can't be transferred or moved between an Apple and a Google account. Refunds go through the store, not us — except in the two cases in clauses 12 and 18.
Delete your account any time from the app. Unused credits are forfeited.
The numbered clauses below are the actual terms; this box is a summary of them, not a replacement.
Lookonic is operated by Anton Dokusov, a sole trader (autónomo) registered in Spain, trading as Lookonic — "we", "us" and "our" in these terms. Our contact and legal details are in clause 19.
These terms cover the Lookonic mobile app, our website at lookonic.app, and everything we provide through them (together, "Lookonic" or "the service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and should be read alongside these terms.
Purchases inside the app are made from Apple or Google, not from us — see clause 09.
You must be at least 18 years old. Lookonic renders images of a real person's body, so it is built for adults only. If you're under 18, don't sign in.
You also need to be able to enter into a binding contract where you live, and not be barred from using services like ours under applicable law, including sanctions rules.
One person, one account. Don't create additional accounts to get around limits, a pause on your account, or the one free look (clauses 09 and 11).
You sign in with Apple (on iPhone) or Google (on Android). There are no Lookonic passwords: your Apple or Google account is your key. Keep it secure — anything done through your account is treated as done by you, unless you've told us that Apple or Google account was compromised. If you lose access to that Apple or Google account, you lose access to your Lookonic account and its credits, and we cannot move them to a different one.
Your credits and your free-look status live on your account, on our server. Your wardrobe, portraits and saved looks do not — they live on your device only (clause 06).
Signing out keeps your photos and looks on the phone and your credits on the account. Deleting your account is covered in clause 12.
Lookonic recognizes the clothes you photograph, picks outfits from them for the occasion you set, explains the outfit briefly, and renders it onto your own face and full-body photos.
Every step of that is done by AI, and AI gets things wrong. Colours, fit, proportions, patterns and fabrics can render differently from real life; a garment may be misread; a suggestion may miss. Treat the results as inspiration, not as a faithful photograph or a guarantee of how something will look on you. Lookonic is not professional styling, medical, body-image or purchasing advice, and it is not a substitute for trying clothes on.
Expect the service to evolve: we may add, change or remove features, adjust how styling works, and change the AI providers behind it (clause 13).
Lookonic runs on two kinds of photos — your clothes, and two portraits of you (face and full body). The rules are strict because the render is photorealistic:
You are responsible for every photo and every word you submit, including having the right to use it. If in doubt, don't upload it.
Your photos stay yours. You keep every right you have in them and in anything you type into Lookonic.
To run the service we need one permission from you: a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, analyse, moderate, transmit and transform your photos and text, only as needed to provide, operate, secure and support Lookonic — including sending them to the AI providers that do the recognition and rendering on our behalf, listed in the Privacy Policy. That's the whole scope. We don't sell your photos, don't show them to other users, don't use them for advertising, and don't use them to train AI models. Our providers act on our instructions; the Privacy Policy lists who they are and what each one does.
Where your photos live: your wardrobe, your portraits and every saved look are stored on your device, and only there. Copies leave the phone to be processed — a garment photo once, when it's recognized; a portrait once, when it's checked; and your portraits and the picked garments again each time a look is rendered — and we keep no originals. A finished render sits on our server for up to 24 hours so the app can collect it, then it is deleted.
Because nothing is backed up on our side, we cannot restore a wardrobe or a look. Delete the app, reset the phone or switch devices, and they're gone. Signing in on a new device brings back your credits and free-look status — not your photos.
Every photo and every note is checked automatically before it is processed — for nudity and other prohibited content, and for whether it is actually a garment or a usable portrait. A photo that fails is not stored and not processed, and nothing is charged for it. Sometimes an honest photo fails (a blurry garment, a portrait with the body cut off): just re-shoot.
Prohibited-content rejections are different. We count them — including the cases where our render provider refuses to render a look on its own content-policy grounds — and if they pile up in a short time, look generation on your account is paused automatically for a short period (about a day). If you think a pause was a mistake, write to us (clause 19). Serious or repeated abuse — above all anything involving other people's images, minors or sexual content — leads to termination of your account (clause 12), and we may report it to the relevant authorities.
The checks are automated and not perfect. They are a safety net; the responsibility for what you upload stays with you (clause 05).
A look is the outfit Lookonic assembles for you: the picked garments, a short rationale, and the rendered image of you wearing it. As between you and us, your looks belong to you — keep them, share them, use them as you like within these terms.
Every render carries machine-readable AI-generated marking — a watermark and embedded metadata — designed to let detection tools and platforms identify it as AI-generated. Don't deliberately strip, disable or obscure that marking. When you share a look, share it honestly — it is an AI render of you, not a photograph, and it must never be presented as one in order to mislead, defraud or harm anyone.
We hold a copy of a rendered image for at most 24 hours (clause 06). After that the only copy is the one on your device, so keep what you want to keep.
Your first look is free. It unlocks once your wardrobe has enough pieces to style — the app shows what's still missing — and both portraits are saved. It is one look, one time, per person: it does not reset if you sign out, reinstall, or delete and re-create your account, and we may change or withdraw the offer for new users at any time.
After that, looks cost credits. Credits come in packs bought inside the app through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google is the seller of record: they take the payment, apply the taxes, issue the receipt and run their refund process, and their terms apply to the transaction alongside ours. We never see your card details. Prices are shown in the store before you buy and can change; a change never affects credits you already own.
Credits are added to your account once the store confirms the purchase. If the store charges you and the credits don't appear, don't buy again — the app keeps retrying the confirmation, and if it stays stuck, write to help@lookonic.app and we'll sort it out.
Refunds go through the store. We don't take payments, so we can't refund a purchase ourselves: refund requests, including your statutory 14-day right to cancel a purchase where it applies, are exercised with Apple or Google under their terms — credits you have already spent can't be cancelled. If the store refunds a purchase, we may remove the corresponding credits from your account. The two cases where we refund you ourselves are in clauses 12 and 18.
Besides the photo rules in clause 05, you agree not to:
We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, and limit, suspend or terminate access as clause 12 describes.
You can delete your account at any time from the account screen in the app, or through the deletion page on our website; website requests are processed within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm you own the account before acting on one. Deletion permanently removes your account, your credit balance and our records about you from our servers, and clears the app's data — wardrobe, portraits, looks — from your device. Unused credits are forfeited: they have no cash value and cannot be paid out. Deletion cannot be undone.
Two things survive. First, a pseudonymous record — a one-way hash of your sign-in identity, with your free-look status and any active pause — kept indefinitely so the free look and a pause can't be reset by deleting and re-creating an account. It contains no name, email or photo. Second, a minimised record of each purchase — the store, the product and a keyed hash of its transaction ID — kept so a receipt can't be reused; it isn't linked to your name or email. The Privacy Policy explains both.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms — above all the photo rules in clause 05 — or if the law requires us to. If we terminate for a serious breach, we may withhold a refund of unused credits to cover the loss the breach caused us; otherwise we refund them, through the store where possible or directly. If we ever discontinue Lookonic altogether, we will give reasonable notice (at least 30 days where we can) and refund unused purchased credits the same way.
We may transfer this agreement — and your account and credits with it — to a company we set up to run Lookonic, or to a buyer of the service, provided your rights under these terms are unaffected. We'll tell you when that happens. You can't transfer your account (clause 10).
Lookonic is a small service built on third-party AI providers, and we can't promise it will always be up, fast or error-free. Renders take a minute or two and occasionally fail, which costs you nothing (clause 10). We may temporarily pause look generation to protect the service — for instance against abuse or a sudden spike in load; when that happens the app tells you and nothing is charged.
We may change, add or retire features, adjust limits (like the wardrobe cap or the unlock threshold) and switch AI providers. Where a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance (clause 18). Some changes need an app update, and older versions may stop working.
Everything AI-related runs online, so adding clothes and generating looks need an internet connection. Browsing your wardrobe and saved looks works offline.
Lookonic — the app, website, design, wordmark, text and code — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control (and, on Apple devices, as the App Store's usage rules and Family Sharing allow), for the purpose these terms describe. That is a licence, not a sale, and it never covers anything clause 11 prohibits. Apple's and Google's standard app-store licence terms also apply to the app you download from their stores (clause 16).
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely, without owing you anything — and without any obligation to use them.
Lookonic is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will meet your needs, be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any render, recognition or suggestion is accurate (clause 04). You use Lookonic, and share what it makes, at your own judgement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits, data or goodwill), for loss of the wardrobe or looks stored on your device, for the acts or omissions of the app stores or AI providers, or for how you or others use a render — and our total liability to you for everything arising from Lookonic in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid for credits in that period, or €50, whichever is higher. The cap does not apply to our liability for a breach of the conformity guarantee the law gives you.
If someone brings a claim against us because you broke clause 05 or 11 — for instance, you uploaded a photo of somebody else — you are responsible for the reasonable, foreseeable loss that causes us, including legal costs, to the extent the law permits.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability we cannot exclude by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for wilful misconduct or gross negligence — or your rights as a consumer, including your right to a service that conforms with the contract under EU digital-content rules and any protection of the country you live in that cannot be waived. If a clause here conflicts with those rights, the law prevails for that clause and the rest of the terms stand.
You get the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, and in-app purchases go through them, so a few things need saying. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support — that's on us (clause 19). They have no warranty obligation for the app; if the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies to it, Apple may refund the price you paid for the app (Lookonic is free to download) and beyond that has no other warranty obligation. Claims about the app — product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, and any claim that it infringes someone's intellectual property — are our responsibility, not theirs.
You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as far as the iOS app is concerned and may enforce them against you. Apple's Media Services Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your use of their stores.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live in another country and its consumer-protection rules give you rights that can't be waived, you keep them, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your home country as well as in Spain.
If something goes wrong, write to us first — most issues (a stuck purchase, a charge you don't recognize, a look that never arrived) are fixed in a reply. If we can't resolve a complaint together, you can turn to the consumer authorities or out-of-court dispute-resolution bodies of the country you live in; in Spain, that is your local consumer office (OMIC), and you can request consumer arbitration through the Sistema Arbitral de Consumo, which we will consider case by case. We are not obliged to, and do not currently, take part in an alternative dispute-resolution scheme, but nothing here stops you from using one available to you, or your local courts.
We may update these terms when the law, the service, our providers or our security needs change. The date at the top always shows the current version. For changes that matter — anything affecting your rights, your credits or what you can do with the app — we will tell you in advance, in the app or by email, at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the law requires the change sooner.
If you don't accept a change that materially reduces the service, tell us within 30 days of the notice: we will refund your unused purchased credits and you can delete your account (clause 12). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
These terms are in English. We don't file a copy of the version you accepted, so save one if you want it — the current text is always at lookonic.app.
Questions, complaints, or a stuck purchase: help@lookonic.app. We answer complaints as quickly as we can, and always within a month.
